ABOUT GAVIN HARRISON
English drummer known for his work with progressive rock bands and Italian singers. He has played drums on numerous albums by progressive rock bands Porcupine Tree and The Pineapple Thief. He has also collaborated with Fiorella Mannoia, Eros Ramazzotti , Eugenio Finardi, and Claudio Baglioni.
He began his career in music as a session drummer.
He has won Modern Drummer magazine's readers' poll for Best Progressive Drummer of the Year multiple times. That same publication named him one of its Top 50 Greatest Drummers of All Time in 2014.
His father's jazz collection was an early influence on his musical development.
He and Steven Wilson have performed together in Porcupine Tree.
