His father was a con man who used him to sneak into Madison Square Garden to interview athletes as a "child interviewer." Once they got caught, he was about 15 and stopped speaking with his father. His podcast about deciding to meet his father, called #1 Dad, gained him international fame.

He made it to the finals of season 10 of America's Got Talent , Esquire Magazine named him a "comic to watch," and hundreds of thousands of viewers watched his comedy special "It Could be Worse."

He is married with a son, and becoming a father was part of what made him want to reach out to his dad again.

He was a guest on Conan O'Brien 's talk show and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert .
