ABOUT GARBO ZHU
Social media star, potter and entrepreneur who shares content about ceramics and her artistic lifestyle. Her garbo.zhu social media accounts have gained more than 1.1 million followers on Instagram and 1.1 million on TikTok.
She was born and raised in China and moved to Canada when she was 14. She studied architecture at Ryerson University.
Her interest in ceramics and pottery began during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. She opened a ceramics studio called Grumpy Kid studio, but later closed it to focus on her other passions. The slogan for her social media pages is 'Dress cute, make pottery'.
She has a sister. In 2024, she announced she was expecting a child with her partner. They welcomed their son, Émile Luowen, on February 12, 2025.
In December 2024, her friend and fellow content creator Breanna Quan helped throw her a baby shower.
