ABOUT GAIL MATTHIUS

Known best during the early 1980s for her work on Saturday Night Live, this comedienne also appeared in several other sketch comedy programs, including Laugh Trax and Assaulted Nuts. Also a voice actress, she contributed to animated series such as Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures.

She joined SNL in 1980 and began playing the comedic roles of valley girl Vicki, hair dresser Rowena, and game show host Francis Lively.

She voiced the character of Martha Generic on the Fox Kids series Bobby's World .

A native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she later settled in Los Angeles, California.

She became famous for her comedic impersonations of Brooke Shields and Nancy Reagan, among other celebrities and public figures.
