ABOUT GAIA SABBATINI
Middle-distance runner who became the Italian national under-20 indoor and outdoor champion in 2017. She is also a popular Instagram model who has been endorsed by Adidas and earned more than 410,000 followers.
She went to high school at Liceo Classico-Scientifico Melchiorre Delfico in Teramo, Italy.
She broke her own record with a time of 2:08.92 at the 2017 National U-20 Outdoor Championships in Florence.
Her older sister, Eva Sabbatini, is also a middle-distance runner. Her father, Pino Sabbatini, was a mountain guide who perished in an avalanche in 2014.
She got to meet soccer icon David Beckham through her work with Adidas.
