He started out with Survivor by just taking care of their equipment.

He co-wrote Survivor's hit "Eye of the Tiger," which became immortalized in the Rocky films.

He grew up in Chicago, Illinois.

The president of Survivor's record label was a good friend of Sylvester Stallone , which is how "Eye of the Tiger" came to be used in Rocky.
