ABOUT FRANK THOMAS
Hall of Fame college football coach who led the University of Alabama to a 115–24–7 record from 1931 to 1946.
His first coaching job was as an assistant at the University of Georgia in 1923.
A bronze statue of him was erect outside the University of Alabama's Bryant–Denny Stadium.
He was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana.
From 1920 to 1922, he played quarterback at the University of Notre Dame under head coach Knute Rockne .
