ABOUT FRANCES FITZGERALD
Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author best known for her coverage and writings on the Vietnam War. She won the award in 1973.
When she was younger, she sent a series of letters to Adlai E. Stevenson Jr. in which she expressed her opinion of foreign affairs.
Her book, Fire in the Lake: The Vietnamese and the Americans in Vietnam, won the Pulitzer Prize in General Non-Fiction in 1973.
She was married to James P. Sterba, a former writer for The Wall Street Journal.
She was a journalist who covered the Vietnam War, just like William Tuohy .
