ABOUT FLEUR ADCOCK

New Zealand-born poet and editor known for The Inner Harbor, The Scenic Route, Dragon Talk, and other works. Her numerous literary honors include the New Zealand State Literary Fund Award and the United Kingdom's Cholmondeley Award.

She graduated from Victoria University of Wellington with a master's degree in Classics. She published her debut poetry collection, Eye of the Hurricane, in 1964.

Her sister Marilyn Duckworth wrote A Gap in the Spectrum and other novels.

She was married and divorced twice: first, to Alistair Campbell; then, to Barry Crump.

She and Allen Curnow , both poets, were born in New Zealand.
