ABOUT EVELYN BRAXTON

Opera singer and certified life coach who stars on the WE TV reality series Braxton Family Values .

She grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and moved to Maryland when she was 13 years old. It was there that she met her future husband, Michael; they married when she was 18.

She went back to school after her daughters were old enough, attending Sojourner College and Bowie State University .

She is the mother of Toni Braxton , Tamar Braxton , Towanda Braxton , Traci Braxton , Trina Braxton , and Michael Conrad Braxton Jr.

Her daughter Traci Braxton was a TV personality who previously had her own show.
