She met her husband while they were college sweethearts at University of Arkansas . She was set up on a blind date with him and went to the state fair with some friends, where he tried to win her a teddy bear.

She was also Miss Arkansas 1960. She has spent most of her life doing things in the arts and philanthropic efforts and is known for curating the Dallas Cowboys Art Collection at AT&T Stadium.

She is from Danville, Arkansas. She is married to Jerry Jones and they have three children, Stephen, Jerry Jr., and Charlotte Jones Anderson .
