She attended both UC Berkeley and a specialized Parsons School of Design program in Paris before starting her career.

In 2007, she was awarded the Domani Fashion Foundation Award.

She was born and raised in San Francisco, California.

She appeared as herself in season one of a Bravo reality program chronicling the life of personality, designer, and stylist Rachel Zoe , entitled The Rachel Zoe Project.
