Erik Gustafsson
ABOUT ERIK GUSTAFSSON
Swedish professional ice hockey player who is a defenseman for the NHL's Washington Capitals . He was selected 93rd overall in the fourth round of the 2012 NHL draft by the Edmonton Oilers . He also played for the Chicago Blackhawks , the Calgary Flames , and the Philadelphia Flyers .
He represented Stockholm in the 2008 TV-pucken, a national Swedish junior tournament. He scored four assists.
He recorded his first NHL goal as well as an assist in a 7-3 loss to the New York Islanders in January 2018. He stands at 6 feet and weighs approximately 197 pounds.
He was born and raised outside of Stockholm, Sweden. His younger brother Glenn is also a professional hockey player. His wife is Hannah Callenbo.
He joined Nicklas Backstrom and Connor Brown on the Washington Capitals.
