ABOUT ERICH UELMEN

Professional relief pitcher that was drafted by the Chicago Cubs during the fourth round of the 2017 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of California Polytechnic State University . While at Cal Poly, he pitched for three seasons. Through the 2022 season, he had an earned run average of 4.67.

He first began his professional career playing for the Eugene Emeralds. He was later promoted to the South Bend Cubs.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Philadelphia Phillies on July 22, 2022. He pitched just one inning and recorded one strikeout.

He grew up living with his parents and his three siblings. He is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada.

He played against Kyle Schwarber and Nick Castellanos during his MLB debut.
