Comedian, actor, writer and director. She was best known for her roles in TV shows The Chi and Empire . She also appeared in films including Chi-Raq , Top Five and Precious . She died on February 27, 2021at the age of 48.
Her first acting credit was in the 2006 film Dirty Laundry.
She wrote blog posts for the Huffington Post. Her stand-up comedy often tackled issues such as size acceptance and racial and gender stereotypes.
Her death was reported in a Facebook post by her brother, who said she died due to complications from COVID-19.
Her co-stars in The Chi included Jason Mitchell and Shamon Brown Jr.
