ABOUT ERIC UNDERWOOD

American ballet dancer most known for his work as a soloist with The Royal Ballet, a prestigious international ballet company based in London. He is also a stage actor, his most notable theater role being in Clybourne Park, an award-winning play. He participates in many community outreach programs and social issues.

He graduated from the School of American Ballet in New York City in 2000. He was the only African-American student in his class.

In 2019, he played the role of Admetus in the 2019 film adaptation of Cats . He appeared in many dance scenes but had no spoken lines.

He has two half-siblings on his father's side. His mother wanted him to study acting as a teenager, but ballet ended up being his passion.

He and Misty Copeland were the only black dancers in the American Ballet Theatre in 2003.
