She was a student at George Washington University . She studied religion and graduated in 2007. She was also part of their co-ed improv troupe ReceSs.

She and her husband co-wrote the book HEY, U UP? (For a Serious Relationship): How to Turn Your Booty Call into Your Emergency Contact. She frequently appears on Not Another D&D Podcast.

She co-starred in Hot Date with her husband Brian K. Murphy.
