ABOUT EMILEE PETERSMARK

Singer, composer, vocalist, musician, entertainer, performer, songwriter, and artist who is best known for being a member of the indie-folk band The Crane Wives. She was on vocals and guitar in the band. The group's debut album was 2011's Safe Ship, Harbored.

She and Kate Pillsbury founded The Crane Wives while working together at a Chinese restaurant in Michigan.

She is also a visual artist specializing in watercolor, digital illustration, and marker art. She has been commissioned for album covers, posters, t-shirt designs, and other branding for musicians.

Her parents are named Marilyn Ann Petersmark and Joseph D. Petersmark. She was born in South Korea, but she was adopted as an infant.

Her band The Crane Wives has opened for acts such as The Avett Brothers , The Dead South , Lake Street Dive, and Greensky Bluegrass.
