ABOUT ELLIE ENGLISH
Drummer known for her involvement in the Los Angeles garage rock scene and for being the drummer for the bands L.A. Witch and Pagoto. The band released its first single, "L.A. Witch," in 2013. The band then released their first album, L.A. Witch, in 2017.
She began playing the drums as a teenager. She met future L.A. Witch frontwoman Sade Sanchez during high school, and together they participated in local music competitions, including winning a battle of the bands at Burbank High in 2007. She co-founded L.A. Witch in 2011.
She has expressed a preference for live performances over studio recordings due to the raw and energetic vibes she feels while playing live. The first song she learned how to play on the drums was "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix .
She was born and raised in Burbank, California.
She cites Black Sabbath and its members Ozzy Osbourne , Tony Iommi , Bill Ward , and Geezer Butler .
