ABOUT ELLIE SURSARA
Conservationist, biologist, filmmaker, actress, and TV presenter who appeared on Animal Planet's Whale Wars in 2011.
She worked as a scientist and wildlife biologist before becoming famous.
She served as an ambassador for Earth Hour, the World Wildlife Fund's climate change campaign, and launched her own foundation, Society for Animals, in 2010.
She was born in Avalon Beach, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
She and Christopher Gillette are both wildlife scientists.
