Heroine of World War II who helped people escape from Nazi-occupied France.
Her aunt nicknamed her Lisl, which is why she later took the name Elisabeth.
She was a communist activist and an early member of the Association of Cinematograph and Television Technicians.
She had three husbands throughout her life named Bertie Coker, Peter Haden-Guest, and Patrick John Dolignon Furse. Her five children were named Anthony Haden-Guest, John Furse, Katharine Furse, Anna Furse, and Sara Furse.
Like Marcel Marceau , she also worked against the Nazi occupation of France.
