Acclaimed Albanian folk singer who was named SMerited Artist of Albania by the Albanian government in 1996. She has released several successful albums throughout her long career including Pertej and Me Thote Zemra.
She first gained fame as a serenata singer performing urban folk songs in her home region. She would later make her larger debut at the 1988 National Folklore Festival.
In 2015, she appeared in the documentary Dear Albania.
Born in Drenovë, Albania, she hails from Korçë.
She is friends with numerous other Albanian stars including fellow singer Aurela Gace .
