Eleanor Burns
ABOUT ELEANOR BURNS
Known for hosting the Quilt in a Day television program and co-designing the Eleanor’s Anniversary Florals fabric collection, she also published more than a hundred books on the topic of quilting.
She published her debut quilting manual, Make a Quilt in a Day: Log Cabin Pattern, in the late 1970s.
She became the spokesperson for the Baby Lock sewing machine brand.
A native of Zelienople, Pennsylvania, she eventually opened quilting stores in San Marcos, California and Paducah, Kentucky. She raised two children.
She and Marie Webster were both prominent American quilters and crafts writers.
