Edward Clark Potter

ABOUT EDWARD CLARK POTTER

American sculptor who made equestrian and animal statues and was elected to the National Sculpture Society in 1893.

He studied drawing at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

His most famous work is the pair of marble lions in front of the New York Public Library.

He was raised by his mother in Enfield, Massachusetts.

Daniel Chester French was his teacher and friend.
