ABOUT ED YONG

British journalist who is best recognized for his written work in National Geographic and other science journals. He is also known for his blog Not Exactly Rocket Science and for having been a permanent staff member of The Atlantic.

He earned both his bachelors and masters degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge . He gained attention as an online journalist in 2009.

In 2010, he received the National Academies Communication Award from the National Academy of Sciences for his online work with Discover's blog group.

He was born in England and later settled in Washington, DC.
