ABOUT ED BISHOP
Known for his small roles in such classic films as 2001: A Space Odyssey and You Only Live Twice (a James Bond film), he also appeared as Commander Ed Straker in an early 1970s science fiction series called UFO.
He made his screen debut in an uncredited role in the 1962 Stanley Kubrick film, Lolita.
During the 1990s and early 2000s, he was active in anti-Iraq War protests.
Over the course of his three marriages, he had four children (all with his second wife, Hilary Preen).
During the late 1970s, he starred in several BBC television adaptations of the stories of Raymond Chandler .
