ABOUT DR. MALINGA

Dance music producer who became one of South Africa's most respected names in house, Afropop and kwaito music with tracks like "Sengizwile," "Akulaleki" and "Thandaza." He is also an actor who began starring on the hit show Gauteng Maboneng in 2014.

He was raised in Hammanskraal, South Africa. His first job was handing out pamphlets for furniture shops.

His album Goodwill (2016) earned him a South African Music Award for Best Kwaito Album.

His real name is Goodwill Malinga. He got married in 2013 and has a daughter.

He collaborated with DJ Shimza on the song "Akulalwa."
