British rapper who released five solo albums before becoming a standup comedian and actor. In March of 2014, he began playing DS Joe Hawkins on Law & Order: UK.

His sister occasionally contributed to his musical jamming sessions when he was younger. He began rapping at the age of 15.

On the comedy circuit he got to open for Ricky Gervais for several shows in Norway. He took a hiatus from making music before releasing new music in 2017. Along with earning over 45 credits as an actor, he has worked as a writer for television, and also on soundtracks for both film and television.

He married Siobhan Smith. His sister Zadie Smith is an acclaimed author. He has two daughters.

He had a small part as a drug dealer on the Channel 4 soap opera The Inbetweeners, appearing alongside Simon Bird .
