ABOUT DMITRY BIVOL

Light heavyweight who won the WBA light-heavyweight title in May 2016. He retained his championship belt for the sixth time in August 2018 to improve to 14-0 in his professional career. He has over 15 wins throughout his professional career.

He began boxing at age 6. He won the Russian amateur boxing championships in both 2012 and 2014.

He won the World Combat Games as an amateur in 2013. He successfully defended the WBA light-heavyweight title for his fifth time at Madison Square Garden in March 2018.

His father is of Modovan descent, while his mother is of Korean descent.

He was scheduled to defend his WBA light-heavyweight title against Jean Pascal in November 2018.
