ABOUT DIRK VERBEUREN
Belgian drummer who's played in numerous metal bands since the mid 1990s. He was a member of Swedish metal outfit Soilwork for over a decade. In 2016, he joined American thrash legends Megadeth .
He received his first drum set in 1991. In 1993, he began attending France's Music Academy International.
His drumming influences include Slayer 's Dave Lombardo , Meshuggah's Tomas Haake , and Death 's Gene Hoglan . He has performed drum clinics across the world for companies like Tama Drums and Evans Drumheads. He's recorded five, full-length albums and a live DVD/Blu-ray with Soilwork. He's also performed in Europe, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Russia, and China as a headlining act between early 2004 and mid-2016.
He is from Antwerp, Belgium.
He and Dave Mustaine have performed together as bandmates in Megadeth.
