He made his debut against Australia and was India's best bowler in the match.

He is considered one of the worst batsmen in Test cricket history, batting only 4.60.

His son, Nayan Doshi, is also a cricketer.

He and Cheteshwar Pujara both represented Saurashtra in domestic cricket.
