Dickie Davies
ABOUT DICKIE DAVIES
British television show presenter who is known for being the presenter for the series World of Sport from 1968 until 1985. He took part in the coverage of the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
He did National Service in the RAF and worked as a purser on the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth ocean liners.
He has also been the president of Sandford Springs Golf Club. He suffered from a stroke in 1995, which led him to take a break from his work.
He grew up with family in Wallasey, Cheshire, England.
He worked as an understudy to Eamonn Andrews at the World of Sport in 1963.
