She began her modeling career at the age of sixteen, appearing in a Tips and Toes advertising campaign.
She won the 1995 Miss Bombay beauty pageant title.
She was born and raised in Bandra, Maharashtra, India in a family uninvolved in the modeling industry.
She and fellow Indian model Gauhar Khan both competed on the popular reality series Bigg Boss.
