ABOUT DEREK JAMESON

English journalist who was known for presenting a series on the BBC and editing the Daily Mirror and Daily Express.

He had an early job as a messenger boy after growing up in a children's home.

He hosted the BBC radio shows Week Ending and People.

He died while married to his third wife, Ellen Petrie. He had three sons and a daughter during his previous two marriages.

He was replaced on the BBC series People by Frank Bruno in 1989.
