ABOUT DEMARCO MORGAN

Broadcast journalist known for being a news anchor for ABC News and anchoring GMA3: What You Need to Know with Eva Pilgrim. He has also appeared on Good Morning America and World News Tonight with David Muir .

He attended Booker T. Washington High School and had an internship working at KOTV as a high school student. He received his bachelor's degree from Jackson State University. He started his broadcasting career while working on his master's degree at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism after he covered the September 11 attacks. He began his first reporting job at CBS affiliate WJTV in the year 2002.

He received the "Thurgood Marshall Prestige Award" for community service in the year 2009. He is passionate about volunteering and has volunteered for Morgan has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters, the American Cancer Society, and the NAACP. He has taught broadcast journalism classes at several different universities, including his alma mater Jackson State University.

He was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Charlie Wilson appeared on his GMA3: What You Need to Know show in February of 2024. He covered Aretha Franklin 's funeral in the year 2018.
