ABOUT DEEPAK VINAYAK

Indian Australian community leader who was the recipient of the Order of Australia in the year 2018 for his service towards growing culturally diverse communities. He was the first person of Indian origin to be chosen as the multicultural champion by the Victoria State Government. He is the station master and community liaison officer for Metro Trains Melbourne.

He obtained his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. He also graduated from Victoria University with a diploma of engineering in advanced trade.

He was appointed as the people of Australia ambassador by Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard for two consecutive terms in both 2012 and 2013. He is the chair of an Australia-based youth organization called South Asian Youth Connect Australasia.

He is married to Monica Vinayak. Together, they have two sons named Rajat Vinayak and Aditya Vinayak.

In November of 2016, he posted a photo on his deepak.vinayak Instagram account. It featured himself alongside Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan .
