ABOUT DECLAN O'DONNELL

New Zealand international rugby sevens players who became known as a wing for the Chiefs and Highlanders.

He attended Hamilton Boys' High School, where the head rugby coach deemed him an emerging player.

He was involved in an aggravated assault on two men in January 2011.

He was born of Irish-Maori descent.

He and Liam Messam both played for the New Zealand Sevens.
