ABOUT DAWSON MERCER

Canadian professional ice hockey player who has risen to fame as a center for the New Jersey Devils . He signed a three-year contract with the Devils in 2020 and made his NHL debut the following year. He represented Canada at the 2020 Ice Hockey World Junior Championships, where he won a gold medal.

At the age of 15, he began playing prep hockey for the Bishop's College School under-18 varsity team.

In 2021, he won the Guy-Carbonneau Trophy, which is awarded annually to the best defensive forward in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. His hobbies include fishing and dirt biking.

His parents are named Charlotte and Craig. His younger brother and sister both play ice hockey.

He has played alongside Jonathan Bernier for the New Jersey Devils.
