ABOUT DAVIS MARTIN

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Chicago White Sox during the 14th round of the 2018 MLB Draft. Prior to being drafted, he attended Texas Tech University where he was named a member of the All-Big 12 First Team All-Academics. He has the Texas Tech program record for most career NCAA tournament wins with three.

He is a graduate of Central High School in San Angelo, Texas. While he was in high school, he was a two-sport athlete that played baseball and football.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on May 17, 2022. He pitched five innings and recorded seven strikeouts.

He grew up living with his family in Abilene, Texas. He is one of four siblings.

He pitched against Michael Taylor , Salvador Pérez , and Bobby Witt Jr. during his major league debut.
