David Martin

ABOUT DAVID MARTIN

American broadcast journalist known for his work with CBS News. Beginning in 1993, he held the position of CBS Pentagon National Security Correspondent.

After earning a degree in English from Yale University, he served in the Vietnam War as an officer in the United States Navy.

Early in his journalistic career, he wrote for the Associated Press and Newsweek Magazine.

He was born and raised in Washington, D.C.

He and Lesley Stahl both became 60 Minutes correspondents.
