David Farrier

ABOUT DAVID FARRIER

News and documentary journalist who co-directed the internationally distributed documentary film Tickled (2016). He later became known for creating the Netflix docu-series Dark Tourist .

He attended Bethlehem College and graduated from the Auckland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Communication Studies degree. He was New Zealand Nightline's entertainment reporter from 2006 until the show ended in 2013.

He made a TV3 documentary about the origins of one of New Zealand's two national anthems, "God Defend New Zealand."

He was previously in a relationship with Grayson Coutts, son of Russell Coutts .

He played a fictional version of himself in Rhys Darby 's mockumentary series Short Poppies.
