ABOUT DAVE KELLEY
Texan writer and journalist who became known for his articles on boating, travel, golf, astronomy, and beer. He also worked as an automotive reporter.
He was born in Shamrock, Texas and graduated from Richland High School and the University of Texas, Austin. While in college, he wrote for The Daily Texan.
He worked in Austin, Texas and Detroit, Michigan as an automotive journalist and reporter for Fox TV.
He and his wife, Carey Elder Kelley, settled in Austin, Texas.
He and John Darnton were fellow American journalists.
