ABOUT DAVE EDWARDS
Big Band musician and multireedist who played alto saxophone on the Lawrence Welk Show from 1968 to 1979.
He played in Auburn University's Orchestra before serving in the U.S. Army as a musician with the North American Air Defense Commanders' Jazz Band.
He died of a heart attack at the age of fifty-nine.
He settled in Florida during the 1990s with his wife Phyllis and his two sons.
He played the saxophone-heavy theme song for Moonlighting, a 1980s television series starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd.
