One of seven children featured on the popular family vlog channel Tannerites alongside her parents Sarah and Johnny . Her family's YouTube channel has earned more than 8 million subscribers. She also has a personal YouTube channel called Nelly Knows. She has posted an array of makeup tutorials, hauls, challenges and Q&A videos.

Her family's YouTube channel was created in July of 2015.

She and her family entered into CVX Live's Next Big YouTuber Contest in 2016. She enjoys playing basketball. She started being homeschooled in the fifth grade after getting in trouble in her classes.

She has older siblings named Branson and Allie and younger siblings named Savannah , Lizzy , Az , and Canyon . She got married to her boyfriend Ty in November 2022. In October 2024, the couple announced they were having their first child together. Their daughter, Hayden, was born in early May 2025.
