ABOUT DAN HURLEY

Basketball coach and former athlete who is widely recognized for his work as being the head coach of the University of Connecticut 's men's team. He coached the team during consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division I national championships.

He played basketball during his time as a student at St. Anthony High School.

He played collegiate basketball at Seton Hall University . He started his head coaching career at Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in the year 2001. In the year 2024, it was reported that he was being vetted for the head coaching job for the Los Angeles Lakers .

His brother Bobby Hurley has been the head coach at the University of Arizona . He is the son of Bob Hurley Sr. He and his wife Andrea Hurley have a son named Andrew.

He has coached a number of players at UConn that ended up in the NBA, including Stephon Castle , Jordan Hawkins , and Adama Sanogo .
