Author and educator who founded Blue Zones, a company which seeks to extend life expectancy by optimizing one's health and environment. He is the author of books like Africatrek: A Journey by Bicycle through Africa, which spawned an Emmy-winning documentary of the same name.
He graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1984.
He has set multiple Guinness World Records for transcontinental cycling since the mid-80's.
He is one of four brothers.
