ABOUT CURT CARLSON
Swedish-American entrepreneur best known as the founder of restaurant, hotel, and travel chain Carlson.
He was President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at the University of Minnesota.
He was awarded the Horatio Alger Jr. Award for Swedish-American of the Year in 1981.
His father Charles was a Swedish immigrant to the United States.
He and basketball coach Flip Saunders both attended the University of Minnesota.
