ABOUT COREY ALLEN
Burly actor who played gang leader Buzz Gunderson in Rebel Without a Cause. He directed many films and television series, including episodes of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and Cannon.
He graduated from UCLA with a degree in Theatre and won a Best Actor award for his role in the school film, A Time Out of War.
In the knife fight scene between him and James Dean 's character in Rebel Without a Cause, the two used real knives and Dean got injured.
He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and later moved with his family to California.
He won an Emmy Award for directing an episode of Hill Street Blues, a police drama starring Daniel Travanti .
