He was raised in Westminster, South Carolina.
He considers himself an atypical southern man due to getting regular eyebrow waxings and wearing brands like Ralph Lauren.
His younger sister Taylor encouraged him to audition for MTV.
His show Floribama Shore was modeled after MTV's Jersey Shore , which starred Mike Sorrentino .
