British actor known for portraying the same character of Potter on both Danger Man and The Prisoner. He also appeared in three episodes of the popular series The Avengers and Doctor Who.

One of his earliest roles was that of Prosper Profond in The Forsyte Saga. He also played Sir John Glutton in Dick Turpin.

He played James Channing in three episodes of When the Boat Comes In.

He was born in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. He was married to  Anna Fox.

He appeared in the British film Thatcher: The Final Days, which was about Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher .
